‘Global effort’ needed to fight fake goods amid Covid-19 pandemic

SINGAPORE – Criminal networks have continued to cash in on illicit trade during the Covid-19 pandemic, such as in counterfeit and contraband goods.

On June 8, Interpol announced that its Operation Pangea XIV had resulted in 113,020 Web links being removed owing to ties to counterfeit and illicit medicines.
